Who Should Be Screened

Screening is generally recommended for adults starting at age 45 in the U.S. and 50 in the U.K., continuing until around age 75, with decisions for ages 76–85 made individually based on health and prior screening history. People at higher risk—such as those with a family history of colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, or certain genetic syndromes—may need to start earlier and be screened more frequently
